EduSport’s very
own Lyson Zulu, currently studying at Loughborough University in
England won his first international cap for the Zambian National
Football Team last Wednesday in Chipolopolo’s 4-1 defeat against Ghana
in London.
Originally a peer leader at EduSport’s compound of Kalingalina, Lyson
was awarded a scholarshop at Bath University after impressing Bath
Students who were working at Kalingalinga through the I.D.E.A.L.S
project. He will finish his final year at Loughborough University.
Lyson exemplifies the exceptional impact committed EduSport peer
leaders can have and also the benefits sponsorship does to help them
succeed in underprivileged environments.
Despite the defeat, Lyson was thrilled with his call up and claimed to
be the “proudest man in Zambia” and states it is his intentions to hold
down a place in the Zambian first team in the upcoming years.
