A field run by a peer coach This program aims at economically empowering young people through sport. "POWER" standing for People Organized Working for Economical Rebirth. This is a poverty reduction strategy program.
It is a pilot project in Zambia which utilizes sports teams as business entities as well as the market place for local communities. Through this project, team members sell their produce for cash or credit to members of the association. This creates a good market for their produce. The members have access to soft loans provided by the team members who are small bankers.
